Discover Our Projects
Golden Philanthropies funds high-impact projects that restore ecosystems and build climate resilience. We work across forests, peatlands, mangroves, and agricultural landscapes, ensuring conservation is not just about protection—it’s about driving sustainable development.
Our projects tackle climate change at its source – using science-driven action to create solutions that can be replicated. From restoring degraded land to unlocking new climate finance mechanisms, we ensure that nature thrives.
Community Peatland Restoration Initiative
Across Southeast Asia, thousands of hectares of peatland have been drained and degraded for smallholder farming- releasing carbon and increasing fire risks. This initiative supports farmers in transitioning from unsustainable land use to ecosystem restoration, while unlocking carbon finance to generate additional income and long-term resilience.

Catalysing a Biomethane Industry from Agriculture waste
Golden Philanthropies is exploring the viability of converting agriculture waste into biogas for export to high demand markets, turning a major methane source into clean energy. By tapping into carbon markets, policy frameworks, and investor interest, this initiative lays the groundwork for a scalable, regional biomethane industry that reduces emissions and powers a low-carbon future.

Decarbonizing Landfill Waste Project
This feasibility study explores carbon market pathways to cut emissions from landfill waste-one of the region’s fastest-growing climate threats. By leveraging carbon credits and unlocking private investment, the initiative aims to create a sustainable model for decarbonising waste systems and attracting private sector participation.

Mangrove Restoration
This project rehabilitates mangrove ecosystems that buffer coastlines, sequester carbon, and sustain aquaculture. By restoring natural coastal defences, we aim to protect vulnerable ecosystems while strengthening local blue economies.
